Putnam couple sues Creative Kitchens for breach, negligence

WINFIELD — A Putnam County couple is suing Creative Kitchens after they received damaged and defective cabinets for their kitchen.

Showplace Wood Products, Inc., the company that manufactured the cabinets, was also named as a defendant in the suit.

On Jan. 21, 2010, Clifton Dedrickson and Margaret Dedrickson purchased cabinets from Creative Kitchens for the purchase price of $ 18,177.06, according to a complaint filed Nov. 4 in Putnam Circuit Court.

The Dedricksons claim when Creative Kitchens was installing the cabinets, the couple observed that many of the cabinets were damaged or defective, including warps, scratches, chattering, incorrectly sized parts, mismatched finishes, uncovered nail holes and faulty glides.

On June 28, 2010, the Dedricksons notified Creative Kitchens of their dissatisfaction with the defective and/or damaged cabinets and offered to accept the defective and damaged cabinets at a discounted price of $ 12,177.06 or removal of the…………… continues on West Virginia Record
