A 12-part series following the renovation adventures of Waco-based Magnolia Homes debuts on HGTV on Thursday.

The “Fixer Upper” reality show features 12 different homeowners as they work with Chip and Joanna Gaines of Magnolia Homes to buy and renovate houses.

The show airs at 10 p.m. each Thursday.

The first episode follows Chuck and Charmaine Hooper, who hired Magnolia to renovate a dilapidated two-story home on Gorman Avenue.

Lindsey Hawkins, a project manager with Magnolia Homes, said the last episode of the season still is being filmed.

“I’m excited about it,” she said. “It’s a surreal experience to see your company and bosses on national TV. It’s fun to see it in the viewer’s position.”

Hawkins said Magnolia already has hired more staff in anticipation of an expected upswing in business after the national exposure for the company.
