Big Chantal kitchenware sale starts this weekend

Houston-based Chantal Cookware Corp., known for its colorful kitchenware that is available at high-end retailers such as Williams Sonoma, Crate & Barrel, and Bering’s, is hosting its annual warehouse sale during November. Shoppers can save up to 75 percent on overstocked, discontinued and other one-off products. It is the only time during the year the company’s northwest Houston warehouse is open to the public.

Cookware, bakeware and other kitchen goods will be up for grabs, as well as holiday gifts such as tea kettles, snack trays and mugs. The company’s new Memory Collection, composed of purple kitchenware, the official color of Alzheimer’s awareness, also makes its debut at the sale. West End’s Marcia’s on Montague has expanded and will open Organics at Marcia’s later this month.

Marcia’s on Montague has been established for 14 years and owner Marcia Evans said her daughter Gabrielle would now look after the new organic grocery story after returning from France.

“She has been living in France for three years where organics is very strong, it’s at every corner store, so she’s used to living with organics and has a passion for it,” she said.

“She’ll be really happy to develop our range with customers’ needs, we scour and search for the things people want.
